Tassie Day 7 – Burnie to Devonport via Stanley

After our epic day at Cradle Mountain we spent a good chuck of time getting up and mucking around at the hotel before heading off to visit Stanley.

On arrival at Stanley we were too tired to walk so we took the chair lift up to the top of The Nut and did the 2km walk around the top. This is a great little adventure and the beaches and views of Stanley are beautiful.

Once we arrived back down at our car we took a little detour back to Tullah to collect Erin’s pillow which she forgot a few days ago. On our drive back to Tullah we stopped by Dip Falls which was a interesting but not as nice as most the other Falls we’ve seen. From Tullah we made our way back up toward the coast.
By this point it was time to look for somewhere to stay so we called into a small town called Penguin but quickly realized there wasn’t much there. We continued on until we reached Devonport which was a little bigger. Along the waters edge we came across a cute little buzzing bar/cafe called Drift Cafe where we decided to have some dinner. While here we called around until we found a room at Barclay Motor Inn which turned out to be very expensive for what it was. Once we checked in we were both so tired we decided to hop into bed and relax until it was time to sleep.
